File size requirement

Primary image and supporting image should have a maximum file size of 10MB.

Primary video and supporting video should have a maximum file size of 50MB.

Choosing The Appropriate Category

All entries must be submitted in the category most appropriate to the movie's genre, as determined by the studio distributing the movie - regardless of the tone of the materials themselves. For example, if a movie belongs in the Drama category, then all materials across the board (including all Posters, Trailers, TV Spots, etc.) must be submitted in that category, even if the tone of some of the materials is comedic and you are tempted to submit some entries in the Comedy category as well.

If there is a question about the genre of a given movie, the studio distributing the movie shall be the final authority in determining the ONE appropriate category for that movie.

If an entry is submitted in the wrong category, The Hollywood Reporter reserves the right to rule the entry ineligible and discard it altogether, or to move the entry to the appropriate category without notification to the entrant.

Originality

The purpose of The Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards is to honor and reward all ORIGINAL creative contributions to the marketing of theatrical motion pictures and DVD releases. Any entries that are clearly repurposed with minimal creative differentiation from the original “key art” are ineligible. Examples include international or home entertainment materials that are clearly derived from the original domestic posters and are simply a larger representation of the key art; regular posters that are virtually identical to the original teaser poster, even though they might include some revised copy and the addition of a billing block, etc.

Eligibility

The Hollywood Reporter will make every effort to verify the eligibility of all entries, but reserves the right to disqualify entries without reimbursement if they are deemed ineligible, or to move entries into other categories of those entries are deemed to have been entered in the wrong category. The decisions of The Hollywood Reporter on all issues of eligibility and appropriate category placement shall be final.

The Hollywood Reporter also reserves the right to combine categories that are separated by rating (e.g., Theatrical Print - Teaser Posters Rated PG-13 and Below / Theatrical Print - Teaser Posters Rated R and Above) if it is determined that there are not enough entries in either of the two categories to warrant the category separation.
